You can't build three habits at once.

People often feel like they need to master one thing before starting another. But the truth is, life isn’t that linear. Growth happens when we allow ourselves to try, fail, and adjust in multiple areas at once. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress.

Instead of thinking "It's an impossible task" try this lens instead: "It's possible to take small steps in each area."

Image this: Every day, Alex transfers $7 from his checkings account to his savings account after completing his 15-minute brisk walk. During his walk, he practices gratitude for 1 minute every 5 minutes as he walks the trail.

At the end of the month, Alex saves about $210, feels more energetic, and discovers there's a potential upside in almost any situation with the proper perspective. This was achieved with less reliance on willpower due to his behavioral system.

This is a clear, practical example that demonstrates how small, simple actions help support forming multiple habits at once. Behavioral systems make habiting forming less difficult and more enjoyable!

How long does it take to see results?

Results will vary depending on individual goals and commitment, however research shows most people will report noticing improvements in their energy levels, feeling more mentally grounded, and will have a stronger sense of control over spending habits within the first 2-4 months. More immediate results are reported in smaller, more easily acquired habits.

Long-lasting, sustainable change in more challenging behaviors typically takes several, several months to accomplish, sometime upward of 6-9 months. Results are important, which is why students are encouraged to shift their focus from seeking BIG outcomes to celebrating the little steps and victories along the way as they progress toward achieving their massive end-results.

All change requires willpower. How could you say "without willpower"?
